The 6Li(p,γ)7Be reaction is active during Big Bang Nucleosynthesis and in the early stages of stellar evolution. The low-energy trand of its cross section has been much debated in latest years, especially since the observation of a resonance at center of mass energy of 195 keV. Such resonance would correspond to a positive parity state of 7Be which has never been observed before.

In this new paper we report the results of a new direct study of the6Li(p,γ)7Be reaction that was performed at LUNA. The new experiment covers the center-of-mass energy range between 60 and 350 keV and it rules-out the existence of any low-energy resonances.
